I have a e machines t5048 with a 1gb ram stick added. I been playing star craft 2 and my game play is choppy and lagging. what can i do to fix this and or will a video card fix it.

More system memory and a dedicated graphics card is what you need.

However, I wouldn't be spending money on this machine when you need to actually get a new system that supports dual core processors. As if you will be gaming more then you'll need the extra power from the dual core cpu's. You can build an AMD dual core/quad core machine pretty cheap.
