Games arent working

after getting my new computer, i installed battlefield 2 and bf2:sf. the problem is, neither of them work. The games easy info, a comparison of ones computer to the minimum system requirements to the game, my system met all of the requirements except for "display memory". My video card is the GeForce 7800gt oc, which has 256MB of memory, which is plenty for the minimum game requirements. i though i just needed new drivers, so yesterday i downloaded the latest drivers from nvidia's website, only to find that bf2 still did not work; easy info still told me i did not have any display memory. does anyone know what i can do to get my game running?
 
GeForce 7800gt oc, Athlon 3500+, twin sticks 512 ocz platinum, LanPartyUT nF4-D, Enermax 535W, i dont remember how big/who makes my hard drive atm, but it is more than enough for bf2.
