Hi A friend has been installing games on his computer and they install but don't seem to play once installed although they have before. Thinking of doing xp repair. Any other suggestions

Click on the icon to start up the game and nothing happens. They were working before but no nothing. Doesn't have internet so haven't downloaded anything so not likely a virus.
