Games Running slow?

Hey i just got company of heroes and my computer exceeds the recommended requirements by quite a bit; But i intalled it on my external hard drive and it runs amazingly slow. Is this because its installed on my external hd? Because i dont have alot of room on my internal (66 gb) so i got an external , and its a bummer if i cant run games off the external.

What kind of connection does your external drive use? USB, Firewire or esata? If it's one of the first 2, then yeah that's your slow down. The transfer rates are not high enough to use for programs like games.

What I would do is transfer all the stuff like pictures, music and such to your external drive, which would free up some space for games on your internal drive.
