Gameware control pad problems

I have recently bought a second hand Gameware control pad, the pad appears to be in full working order but I can't seem to get my Vista pc to recognise it. I have installed the relevant software that came with it but when I've tried to use it on TOCA3 and FSX I get nothing.

Is this likely to be a problem with Vista and if so does anybody know how to fix it?

More than likely it is a Vista compatibility problem. If the gamepad is more than a year and a half old, it is not going to be compatible with your computer. The only way to be sure that devices are going to be compatible with Vista is if it says specifically that it is...
