I've been here a few weeks ago while trying to make the best build as possible for my budget but now I've been looking up some intel cpu's and my mind is confused. This build is mainly for gaming, at first I was going for:
http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/rBqZXL but now everyone is telling me that going for a i5 4690k will be worth it but its a bit expensive and I think it is now worth it in gaming.. what do you guys think?

So amd- http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/rBqZXL
---intel- http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/KJnRwP

You didn't list budget :(

I would also stay the hell away from those Kingston units, at least that one specifically had some hardware revisions over time that weren't documented or published. The NAND was replaced with painfully slow chips instead which makes the unit perform like garbage.

Well the budget is not important atm I should have write that in a better way.. sorry so there are only 2 options FX 8350 or i5 4690k. The ssd is off the build then thanks for the warning

Well you have the money for Intel and can still afford the GTX 780 so get the Intel.

id go for the intel and swap the 780 for a 780 ti if possible. Consider waiting for the new 5th gen processors due too come out in the next few months if budget is not an issue.

and to give you my opinion, i have a kingston hyper x 3k 120gb SSD and it works perfectly and has been running with absolutely no problems for the last 2 years and is fast. my brother has the 240gb ver and again has had no problems. possibly consider putting another £30 and getting the hyper x 3k.

dont forget a decent cpu cooler too! :)

My favourite SSD is the Samsung 840 EVO. It is one of the fastest SSDs on the market and the 250GB version costs about £90.

Yeah the cpu cooler and the ssd are going to be added a few months after I build it.
I was also wondering if I should wait for the 800 series.. nobody knows when they are coming out but maybe it is worth it if it was like 2-3 weeks I would wait but if it is a month nah.. Considering the 780 ti I can't afoard it its too expensive even tho amd is releasing new stuff and the prices of the cpus (intel, amd) will come down a bit in the beggining of the next month.
