Hey, I want to make a pretty good gaming computer...here is the info...

-800.00 roughly
-AMD prefered
-dual core if possible
-gaming intense (want to be able to play unreal 2007 smoothly)
-don't need a monitor
-all else is up to you

thanks people :)

see my signature...i just bought my $800 gaming rig last week! I tested it on Doom 3 last night on high settings....and WOW!

it rocks. plain and simple. best $800 I ever spent.

don't get intel, their good processors that 'cream' amd are around $400 and then the processors drop off the face of the earth. if you have a budget, get an amd, they dropped their prices

if he had a bigger budget i would recomned a E6600 but he doesnt. E6300 vs a X2 4200 the E6300 is going to win at the same price.

Sorry :)

That processor is <$250. Sadly, Tomshardware.com didn't put the E6300 on their charts. Then I could show you the best comparisons.

And, that isn't even looking at the serious overclocking potential of the Core 2 Duo series. If it is considered bad to only get a 750Mhz overclock.... you get my point.
