Gaming Computer - New to building comps

Im completely new to building computers and I am trying to build an affordable gaming computer. I am missing some things because I don't know what to choose and some of the stuff I have picked needs some help.

Instead of finding the best and most affordable, I was going for parts that all fit together and that seemed pretty good. Any suggestions on better parts for cheaper, parts that I could use instead, or ANYTHING you have to say.

Thanks for all your help if you comment advise.

Not sure what to do about a dvd burner/driver.. whats the difference? Blue Ray could be cool just for playing

My budget... Not cheap crap, but I can't go over the top for things, hence the reason everything is from under $100- $200

I Play War, Wow, CoD, and some more FPS's

that ram is ddr3 and the mobo and cpu only support ddr2 and i would recommend looking at the newegg email promotions link thats at the top. they have some really good deals like a 1gig of the same video card for 10 bucks more

Thanks. Ill have to check that out.

Im actually kind of lost. Would you ( or anyone else) happen to have a build/link to a good set up that im looking for? A mid tower is cool, but if there is some possible way I can get a micro, I would be stoked.

Thanks again.

I would recommend getting a 4770 over a gtx250 if you are looking for a cheaper, but still good build.
And you need DDR2, not DDR3 RAM

uhm there are many build already in the first few pages on this forum. i wouldnt get a 4770 since you can get the better 4850 or even a 4870 for about the same price.

How about this?

For a cpu, would it be better to have a a Core 2 Duo with 3.00 or a Core 2 Quad with 2.66?

What GeForce video card can handle pretty much every game at a good price? hopefully fitting my MoBo?

dont get that graphics card. either get a gts 250 or a gtx 260. that 9800gt is way to expensive for the performance it'll give

So this GDDR3 Video card won't conflict with the DDR2 motherboard?

Thanks for all this help :D Its making it easier to decide on parts and quicken my learning of all this stuff.

Sorry that I keep posting things one after another, but I keep finding so much. What do you think about this Graphics card compared to the Promotional one you showed me?
