Hello,
This is my first post on the forum. I was just wondering what the cheapest configuration and brand would be for a good gaming PC. Something that could handle most games on a higher maybe highest quality.

-Thanks

Do you need the complete package? (monitor, operating system, keyboard, mouse)

I would say you'll need at least around $1200 if you need everything....maybe even a little higher if you can.

If you want a highend gaming rig, going cheap is near impossible, but at the other end of the spectrum, spending more then 1500$ on just the computer itself is excessive.

The CPU and graphics card(s) will be the most expensive components, dont go cheap on the RAM (Get the highest speed with the lowest timings, but within reason) or motherboard (Cheap boards usually suck) dont go cheap on the PSU either (Get a name brand like OCZ) and get a good wattage (600-700W is plenty for a single GPU setup) and if you're new at this, posting your beta configuration before hitting "Purchase" would probably be a good idea
