The keys itself are pretty much the same, the major differences are most "gaming" keyboards are backlight so it's easier to see in the dark, as well as looking cooler. They usually also have programmable macro keys and like the G15, an LCD display which can display game stats or detailed computer information.

Right on the money, The G15 has a switch that turns off the windows key off, we all know we have hit that during a heated session of gaming and to come back and be dead.... All the media keys are right in the perfect place also. The usb's in the back make it really easy to plug in two controllers so you can two players etc. And the bottom of the keyboard has paths so mouse wires can snake though without getting in the way of the keyboard. I can't stress how much this keyboard will make every other keyboard look like crud. Well there are some really cool ones but this one is def. a fav. of mine.

Hope that helped.

If you can use a regular keyboard.... go for it. I pwnt noobs at WoW and i still pwn noobs in CS:S. I use a standard keyboard and mouse(both no names, literally, no info on them) and i doo justttt fine. Id rather spend the extra money on having my computer work wonders.

However, I have only tried one gaming keyboard, and didnt use it for more than a month.. so if I were to buy one... maybe I would be like invincible.... *ponders* >.<

My friend has a gaming keyboard, and I just a stock "here take this crap" keyboard from Dell. The gaming keyboard is kinda cool with some nice little features (like looking cool and being lit up) but tbh, I never really got much out of it gaming wise. More for the look than the performance really.

Saitek Eclipse is the best gaming keyboard ever. It's backlit so you can see the keys when the light in the room isn't good, it's very comfortable and it looks awesome.
