Gaming laptop

ok i want to get the best gaming laptop i can at 1500 thats my max also if u would STRONGLY suggest a desktop then ok im just looking for ideas for gaming computers for 1500 max ( +/- a few dollars is ok )
 
for that much, and what you want to do with it i would say get a desktop.(you said your willing to go desktop). you can build an AWESOME desktop computer...

the laptop in my sig is was about 3300. not that you NEED all of that BUT...
 
For gaming, I'd definitely recommend a desktop, unless for some reason you needed a laptop. Usually, "gaming" laptops don't last long through battery power because of the power requirements of the parts.
 
look. i have a laptop now, and really, for games like WoW its not bad at all, i play GTA sa too, and its not bad. its not the greatest for super bad-ass games like oblivion, but i mean, c'mon thats not why you would bu a laptop. i use mie everywhere, trains, cars, and at home too. you cant do any of that with a desktop... (except the home part of course, but i move around the house)
 
I never said anything about it being bad. I simply said that for gaming, I'd recommend a desktop because he said he could go with a desktop also.
As you said, gaming is not why someone would buy a laptop. His first priority is gaming, isn't it? ;)
 
i dont know how or where to even start in building a computer but how could i do that? would it be better to buy a computer i know would work?
 
For the price, a desktop would get you alot further. But you need to weigh the pros and cons.

Is the computer going to be mostly for gaming? If so, get a desktop.

If you travel alot and still like to game, get a laptop.

etc, etc.
