gaming laptop

well, I'm a hardcore gamer when it comes down to wc3 and wow but I don't know anything about computers at all. I basically want a laptop where WoW and wc3 can run well and I can still do college work, thanks in advance:)

I have seen the 8600M GT in action, and I know for a fact it will run WoW and TFT at max settings.

before my current laptop (in sig) i had a dv9000 with 2 gigs of ram along with a "Go 7600". it played WoW absolutely fine. window mode or full screen. even played decent with two WoW sessions open at the same time.

my new dv9500 with "8600m gs" is a more powerful card. even plays Flight Simulator X pretty well on higher settings. WoW doesn't seem to play any worse or better when comparing my two laptops as WoW doesn't seem to be a very demanding game for new laptops. as long as u have available system memory and a dedicated G card, ull be just fine.

both dv6500 (15 inch) or dv9500 (17 inch) HP laptops would be a great choice. I like the new Dell inspirons too.

Thats completely untrue, the size of the onboard memory doesnt determine how well it will perform. A 256MB 7900GS is going to perform alot better then a 512MB 7600.

AS for that laptop, it's a waste of money, Newegg overcharges so much. You can buy a laptop with a 7600 for $770.
