Gaming Monitor Recommendations?

I'm wanting to make a gaming rig I already got some educated advice for cards and a cpu but one thing I'm going to need its a top notch monitor. My price range 150-250$. I'd like to pay the least amount possible but i do need the quality so recommendations?

Your budget is tight mate.

This is a fantastic deal at $185, IPS, 1920 x 1200 24" monitor with 5ms response time. About as good as you're going to get for gaming at that level.

What graphics card have you chosen? We need to make sure you can run it.
