Gaming on a laptop

I recently picked up a used toshiba laptop..tecra 8000..When i play a game on it the game will only appear on about 1/3 of the screen in the center like a window..is there a way i can make the game use the whole screen..any help will be appreciated.....

What game are you trying to play? And what operating system are you using?

Does the game have any settings on it for the screen, like a fullscreen option?

Try changing the game resolution. Go to options, then video (probably). Play around with the resolution until you find out where you like the screen size at the most. (Everytime you change it, you'll have to close out of the game, then reopen to see the difference) Hope this works.

More than likely you will also need enw video card drivers. If the ones you have are corrupt or too old to support that particular game, they won't display it correctly. Look for newer ones.
