So currently I have an HP Pavilion g series from about 2-3 years ago maybe less. I wanted to know how i could speed up my FPS when gaming? I play on low settings and use boosters like Razer Gaming Booster and CCleaner sometimes but they never seem to change anything. Please don't tell me I need a new comp I know this. Any information regarding on how I could speed up my laptop during gaming I would be grateful for.

what games do you play? Due to laptops using integrated graphics they arent really meant for gaming. Make sure you close all other programs when gaming, and use task manager to shut down all malwareware scans and other programs

There's really nothing from a software standpoint that you can do, you are limited by the hardware itself.

Ninja, not all laptops use integrated video.

Sorry, integrated or discrete, either way, they are not as powerfull as a desktop gpu, especially if they are a couple of years old

Yes you need a new computer.
Before I got my Dell XPS l521x (i7-3632qm, 16gb ram, 1tbHDD, 128Gb SSD, nVidia GT640m), I had a really crappy HP G60-235DX.

The intel GMA on it is horrible. It couldn't emulate game cube or wii games at all. It just choked like crazy.

Game boosters only turn off some background processes. It will help with overall speed, but far not enough. CCleaner, regseeker, iobit's advanced system care, etc, they all clean the computer to essentailly bring it back to as fast as new.

Problem is, the HP G60 series, even if you bought a brand new one today still has outdated and slow hardware. No software can change that unless you overclock it and it's not recommended for older computers.
