Gaming PC - Last check.

Currently building a gaming PC which I'm going to use for some of the newest games.

This is what I'm thinking of getting right now:
Msi-z77a-gd65 atx
Intel-core-i5-3570k 3,4gh Ivy-bridge
Asus Geforce GTX 690 4096MB
Corsair Hx 750w 80+ gold - Modular
Nzxt Phantom 410
Noctua NH U9B SE2
Corsair 16GB 2x8192MB cl10 1600mhz Vengeance LP
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Samsung SSD Pro Basic 840series 128gb
2TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm sata 6gbit/s

What do you guys think about it? Anything I should think of before ordering? My biggest issue right now is to decide whether to get 690 or Titan. But I guess 690 is better since it's a gaming comp and I'm only going to play on 1 monitor, right?

Good stuff, but a bit overkill.

Firstly, the GTX 690 is a great card, but it's overkill. I'd get a 680 or a Radeon 7970 and save the money. Even a 670 or a 7950 would be more than powerful enough.

16GB of RAM is a lot, and overkill for gaming. 8GB of RAM is probably enough, and if you've got the money, I'd get 1866MHz or 2133MHz RAM.

You can't use Home Premium and 16GB of RAM anyway, it's limited to 16GB of RAM including RAM on the video card, so it'd only be able to use 12GB of RAM. You need to get Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate x64 in order to use all 16GB.

Might want to get a 256GB SSD with the money you save on your RAM and graphics card.

Otherwise looks good.

Is it overkill even if I want to max out games like Battlefield 4 and Crysis etc? I want it to be capable for a couple of years too and not be forced to upgrade after a year or so.
 
I think you'll be fine with a 680 or a 7970 for a little while yet, but if you want the 690, go for it. It's just very expensive and probably not worth the money.

What he meant is that if you have the money, heck.. why not? GTX 690 will beat the crud out of any games you throw at it.

But cards like 680 and 7970 are much, and I mean MUCH cheaper, and it will still perform exceptionally well. I use GTX 670 and pretty much any game I play will not lag (with exception where there's like 5000 critters shooting fireballs at each other, then hell breaks loose).

Exactly. The 680s and 7970s are half the cost, which is I why I'd suggest one of those. I don't think a 690 is really needed for any game, but if you want one, go right ahead. It's expensive though and probably not worth the money.
 
Go for a Gigabyte UD3H Z77 or UD5H. I would go with a titan due to the lower size and power consumption, and more overclockable, plus it stays cool better.
 
The Titan isn't even a gaming card and I think the 690 performs the same or better than it. I agree it's overkill for a 690. Go with a 7970 or 680.
 
I dont even think a 680 can max out crysis 3 very well. And the titan is a gaming card, and is about 25 percent worse then the 690, but you could oc it pretty high and make it very close with the 690.
 
okay, here is what I think.

GPU: Resolution?
Personally I would go for either 1 titan or 2 680s. The titan will be far more power than any gaming system will need, but it will also remedy SLI issues that you may face with the 690/2x 680.

RAM: If you are set on 1600MHz, then look for CL8. You can likely go to 1866 CL9 or 2133 CL10 for not much more anyway. Faster RAM will aide you with Physx processing, as well as speed up CAD work and probably post processing (pic/video).

Also, get a sound card. With a decent gaming machine, you really can not do without one. Dx/STX or SBz/X-Fi Titanium HD.
