Hello,

there is a show you guys are having on Sunday in Holyoke mass in which im attending.
im looking to get a a gaming pc, good graphics card and good memory. i want to spend $600-$700 on one... do you guys build gaming pc around that amount or is it to low for gaming pc?

Hi, and Welcome!
If all you need is the tower portion and Windows 7, you can do pretty well with $700.
If you need a monitor, it's still doable.

yeah , just need the tower with windows 7.. im not to sure if is better to just buy it build in one of the show or just buy the parts for it and build it..

its always cheaper building it yourself if you want new parts.

+1,Building your own is definitely the way to go if you know how,Its usually cheaper and you get better parts...AND the satisfaction that you build it yourself. ;)

I will probably never buy a Pre-Build machine ever again.

Yeah, mostly you get to choose where the money's spent,,which means better components all around with better warranty on all the parts than the standard 1 year.
It isn't very difficult to build, there's a sticky on the basics. And a lot of help around here, including helping with the specs.
For $700 you could get a nice AMD system with newer chipset mb, an x4 cpu, and possibly a 6950 gpu.

What country are you in so we know where you can buy from,
and are rebates ok to factor in?

you can add extra fans choose the cooler you want, much better.

at first i was going to buy a prebuilt then decided ill try making my own...all good so far (2 more important parts to buy)
