Gaming problem!

I got an Acer Aspire 7551g-5821 with ati hd 5650 and win7 64bit. It's new and decent. But when i try to play games like dragon age and need for speed on low settings but it starts lag after 15-30minutes and if I continue, the "not responding" box will come out eventually (like 45min after I start playing) Specifically when I play nfs I will have the message "display driver has stopped working and recovered" like after an hour of playing. I have updated my directx my windows and display driver but nothing changes. I have no clues now

Sounds like a possible heat issue. When gaming it puts a load on the graphics card which increases your heat. Laptops aren't the best venilated systems as it is so try a good cooling pad and tell us if that helps.

I have one already. It does lower the temperature but the problem still exists.
