Gaming Rig 1200 euros budget.

It has been a long time since I last visited you guys. Well Im here again to see if you could help me with making a gaming Rig for my son.. I can spend up to 1200 euros só I can buy him a benq monitor after ;p . I Still don't know much about computers.. I was thinking about a amd CPU , 1terabyte is more than enough , he is currently playing Arma II Dayz mod, Arma III , Dayz SA, CS:GO. I am making loads of mistakes because of The Apple corrections.... Anyways hope you are Al doing well :D
 
For 1200 euro, you should be look at intel i5 4690k, z97 mobo, 8GB RAM, 250 GB SSD, 1TB HDD, R9 280X or GTX 770

Which country are you from.
 
Portugal , don't you think that a amd would do The same when it Comes to gaming and would prob save cash for another part?
 
I say AMD processors are good for gaming because they are good quality for the price. You won't need more than 8gb of ram for gaming.
 
Hey John Locke! I still love your username a lot :D Now, I'm not sure where you shop for parts or how much extra they cost then in the US, but you should be able to get something along the lines of this:

AMD FX 8320 (I guess the 4670K is to expensive for you?)
Preferably a Gigabyte 990FX MB, but you can go lower end if you have to
R9 380X/GTX 860 if you can wait, 280X/770 (the 770 is slightly better) if you can't
CX600M
Salvage a HDD from one if your previous computers
Samsung 840 Evo 128/256GB
Any case you like by NZXT or Corsair or Bitfenix (avoid older cases by these brands, no silver insides)
 
Do you know any Portuguese online retailers that you'd like to use, John?

The build above is much the standard thing for that price range but if we can look on a site and check that will help us greatly
 
Hum the parts I get them from a local shop that orders them for me. Nothing is too expensive but since a amd would do The same for less maybe it would allow me to spend more in a better gpu, pretty much every new game is turning more gpu intensive instead of being CPU intensive.. Unicorn love your name aswell :D yeah Ive got a 1tb hdd.. All The prices are around The same from my retailer so just keep in mind I want the best performance as possible when ti comes to gaming Max is 1200 euros. I checked NOW and The prices will be close to the Amazon prices
 
Try to get yourself an FX-8320, a 990FXA-UD3 board and a GTX 770 then and you will be good to go.

If you have money to spare you can upgrade the 770 to a 780.
