Looking on ibuypower.com and building a gaming desktop. Which DUAL graphics card is superior for insane gaming?

The "x2 - ATI Radeon HD 4890"

or

The "x2 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 295"

or

The "x2 - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285 (2GB)"

All cards running SLI

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it two GTX 295 or a single GTX295? As the GTX295 is a dual gpu card... Or, better, what model are you looking at?

And I cant decide which graphics card is better. ATi or NVIDIA....

Nvidia is better, but which system are u customizing? Eg- Gamer Paladin XXX. BTW, for cooler go with the xigmatek or the V8, the V10 is more of a gimmick than anything else, only a 50watt or so tec. Also notice the power supply seems kinda off brandish... might wanna go with the Corsair, 850W corsair would power that rig and be better than an unknown brand 1kw. Also, instead of going with 2 GTX 295's, maybe go core i7 and get a single GTX295, as its two gpu's on one card and tears through any current games out there anyhow. Those "killer" network cards arent really that good either, again money would be better spent towards an i7 system or more mem.

I was told the AMD was better used for gaming than the Intel...

So I shouldnt worry about dual graphic cards?

BTW its a Gamer Paladin F950

Intel is more powerful, therefore it is better for gaming and basically anything. As far as dual graphics cards, with a GTX295 you essentially are running dual graphics cards, as it is two graphics cards in SLI onto one physical card. If you have two GTX295's you would be running quad SLI which doesnt provide as much a performance gain as you would hope. So essentially you would want the evga X58 mobo, i7 920, 6gb of memory, corsair power supply, and a single GTX295 for a comp from ibuypower. Also, as far as keyboard/mouse if you plan on buying one, the G15 and G9 are excellent for gaming. For the money....you are far better off building your own though vs purchasing from a place like ibuypower.
