My friend is looking to build a gaming computer and ask me to pick the parts for him. the following is what am thinking tell me what you think.

No need to get mean with the guy man, he made a spelling error, haven't you ever done that before? Looks good to me, Id go with the 6800GT.

oh cut him a little slack :p, it's not like the word isn't easily identifyable.

All your links are broken but based on the text desc it looks ok, I would probably go with 2 HDDs, one big HDD for programs and a second small HDD for OS/Swapfile.

all the links been fixed I copy and pasted then from a word document and I did not relize that they was shorten by word.

Definetly go with the 6800gt. The x800xl is pretty much the same price at Newegg as the 6800gt, and its suppose to be 300. If it was 300 I would suggest it, but its overpriced right now.

Nice system all-around, the MSI board there has had some issue with the chipset fan though .. nothing serious. You might also want to consider the DFI Lanparty NF4U and a pair of 6600GTs


... crikey them video cards are expensive .... and USD too!

yeah I found that PCI-E geforce 6800GT are considably more expensive then the agp couterpart. Which I find strange since 6600GT pci-e are less money. If you looked at the pci-e 6800 ultra they insane over $600.

What exactly was the issue so I may be aware of it just in case. sorry should of ask this in my last post. I usually try not to post 2 times in a row in the same thread.

Thats because the 6800GT started as AGP and ported to PCIe and the 6600GT started as PCIe and ported to AGP.

If you looked at the pci-e 6800 ultra they insane over $600.

What I meant by the comment is that I can get those cards for that price -- maybe cheaper -- and in CAD -- without much in the way of special deals...

Roughly speaking, it was inadequate to cool or something like that. It was quite a minor problem if i recall

Dang thats a tough call, the Tt has APC but the Antec has adjustable pots and better efficiency .... realistically you'll be set with either so dont stress it too much

what kind of speakers are you getting? no point in getting a really nice sound card for only $14.99 speakers.

It is all about adapting if you can adapt to a little miss spell then your life must be hell. :) Any ways gamage gammmmming gammmer goommmer nothing diffrent just very little work for you to do just to get the gizzted of what the dudder is saying. calm down. you probly thing LOL is okay thing to say well he thinks GAMMMING is good to say..
