Gate s-5200d MB upgrade

I want to upgrade the motherboard in an old gateway i have so that i can use two graphics cards. The mother board i am looking at is an e 6610d its the same form factor, socket, ram specs and all that just a few steps above mine. Wondering if it will work or what i can do to find out if it will work. The mother board new is currently on ebay for 20$$ Also looking to get a new bigger hdd, wondering if you can clone a gateway drive succesfully as they have the recovery partition and gateway specific hardware and recovery disc. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated thanks.

2 different chipsets so you wouldn't be able to clone the drive. You would have to do a fresh install of windows and you would need a new license depending on the type of operating system you have installed now.
