Gateway Laptop with desktop problems

I have a machine someone wanted me to repair, Windows XP Pro. Older laptop, the woman was on EBAY and wanted to make a shortcut. She got on the Ebay login site right clicked and thought she said made a short cut.

Now on the desktop in the upper left window of the desktop there is a overlay of the EBAY startup window. I can arrow on the sides and make larger or smaller but I can not get rid of it. I still see the XP desktop behind it and the computer runs normal. When I get on line or in a document window I do not see the overlay only on the first desktop setting. Any ideas of how to get rid of that overlay shortcut. Right click there is no delete feature, Not in add remove programs, got me stumped?

She must have changed the desktop wall paper, just change it. To make a website shortcut on the desktop, just right click, click on new shortcut and type in web address and click next, then name the shortcut.
