Gateway multimedia keyboard quits working after start up

hello,
i am having this very very wierd problem with my friends desktop. we set it up with Win7 and everything looks up and runnning.. but when win7 is done starting, the keyboard quits working, the keyboard is a gateway multimedia. to surprise us, it works very fine while starting up and on BIOS settings.. does anybody and has any clue on this issue. thanks for the help in advance ;)
 
Just an offshoot guess, but go on Gateway's website and see if there is an application or driver for the keyboard you can download.
