gateway V.s. asus. which wins?

let me know what yall think about these two laptops, the specs are almost identical except for the video cards. i want a laptop for right at the 1000.00 range and with a minimum of 3 gbs of ram.

the gateway has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT

the asus has a NVIDIA GeForce G9500M GS
so what card is better?

i'd go with the asus, our family has had two asus laptops and both worked without issues, still running cool and fine, and the gfx is better

The asus has the better video card, and asus are a very good + reliable company.

definitely go with asus, my gateway mx6453 wasnt exactly worth what i payed for it.

I was about to get that gateway..does anyone know how long the battery life is on both of those? If money is a issue is gateway the way to go? I thought it was a pretty good deal for 900. But everyone is saying asus.

the asus does have one more gb of ram than the gateway, and the video card is better, which is what i was looking for. i think the battery life on the gateway might be slightly better, but not enough to make a huge difference.
