GB ram speed

Hi

I have 6gb of ram DDR2 in my pc at 800MHz but when I check in cpu-z>memory is say DRAM frequency at 399.00MHz. Is it normal? aloso note I look the speed when the pc is idle. In bios is said it are at 800mhz. Is the RAM are lowing it speed like the GPU and CPU to make it energy effiency?

It's fine. DDR2 is Double Data Rate which means 399(effectively 400) x 2 is 798(effectively 800).

And don't be confused about the number two in DDR2. DDR1 and DDR3 are also multiplied by two.
