Re:
Hello,
Gotta say, the specs for the 5200 aren't excitingly pleasing. However it is an entry card into gaming for the mainstream user, so you'll just survive playing games with it if you can handle sacrificing some settings.
I currently have an FX5700LE 256MB card, and although it sits at about mid level in the performance range, I still need to sacrifice some settings. However, it usually means me using 800 x 600 instead, something I don't mind sacrificing, because it means my frame rates are good, and quality settings can be set high, with no lag.
Although i'm currently comfortable, I would still have preferred to save up a little longer to purchase a better gfx card, to the end of my teather. My advice- do just that.
Ah...I guess my specs wud help in analysing performance:
- Windows XP
- 120GB HDD
- 256MB DDR RAM
- Inno3D GeForce 5700LE 256M AGP
- ASUSTeK A7N8X-LX
...keeps me happy
