On Need for speed carbon it says it only supports theGeforce 4 Ti Seiries. I was wondering if the Mx440 will work with carbon? will their be any drawbacks of playing with a non supported video card? thanks :D

You may be able to run Carbon, but even on lowest settings I dont think it would be playable.

What would happen? Overheating? Artifacts?

No I do not believe that would happen I think it would be more along the lines of the game is to demanding for the videocard so the videocard wouldnt be able to handle it so it might overheat but it is unlikely,

Well Ive added a small fan to it and im pretty sure that my case has got proper cooling...
Would it help to overclock?

And could yall recommend a good Nvidia overclocking utility? thanks :D

I get that when playing Halo With a Rage fury pro 128 :D

The MX440 is on the computer in my sig. I know! More ram + better video card.. How well does the Geforce 4 Ti seiries perform? Maybe the FX5200/FX5500?

I don't think you will be able to run carbon, because it needs a card that supports pixel shader, it may run on Geforce3, but geforce 4 MX440 lacks pixel shader.

I'm only talking about carbon, but the older NFS games will run on MX440 100%

Ti4200 beats both FX5200 and FX5500, even thought it is older.

However, carbon will run on FX5200 but on lowest settings

Even overclocking it would only make a marginal improvement since it's such a low end card.

it plays fine on my 9600 pro on medium...im sure you could pick up a 9600 pro cheap now :)

I agree with hermeslyre about a 7600, it's a good card and I don't think it's too expensive.

Nevakonaza, I think it'd be Ok, It's near enough 1GB of RAM, I guess it'd be Ok...
