GeForce 550Ti not working properly

OK I have the weirdest freaking problem with this video card. Any game I play it is very dark. I've tried skyrim and diablo 3 with the same results. However, everything else is fine, it is just games that are dark. I tried to take a screen shot, but the screen shot comes out normal, it doesn't show what it actually looks like.

I tried the drivers that came with the card, the latest drivers off the internet with the same results. It is a fresh install of windows 7, all the drivers are up to date. I have the gamma and brightness maxed out but it's still way too dark.

This is for my gf's computer, and I ship out for a year tomorrow morning so I really want to get this resolved today. Has any experienced this problem or have some input? I would really appreciate it.
 
Seems just like a very dark monitor. I have 2 monitors and one is WAY darker than the other. Good thing I don't game on it.

Unfortunatly I don't have another monitor or cables to try out.

Could it be possible that it is the monitor? Anything else besides games is perfectly fine. I guess I'll throw in the old video card and see what happens.
