I have used this card for about 6 months now and the fan is making a loud ticking sound...after few hours of toying with it and thinking of all possible problems we have found that its the bearings in the fan allowing it to go back and forth (noticed when we had the PC upside down...then right side up the noise was back)

I have seen a few sites with fan replacements but don't want to buy the wrong one for the card and didn't get much info on the nvidia forums.

Yeah try going in and asking them what to use as a substitute, but make sure it is a store, not like a bestbuy or fry's as their employee's tend to know less than a computer shops.
