Geforce 8 series & PC requirements

I hate it when the system requirements aren't listed for a video card.
I'm getting a Foxconn Geforce 8400GS video card, and a 400W PSU to support it, but I'm not sure if there are any other system requirements.

I have a compaq presario SR1710NX

This is the video card I'm referring to.

For example, an EVGA 8400 requires a supplementary power connector whereas a XFX 8400 does not. Also, the card I'm getting does not list the voltage rating, like 12V with a rating of 20A. What do I do?

The thing is that newegg barely lists any card requirements, so it is really unclear for people who are looking for really specific things.

help?

I wouldn't recommend the 8400 - extremely underpowered cards. You won't be able to do much gaming with this - even my 8600GT is underwhelming in terms of gaming performance.
On the other hand, if you're not going to play games - good choice.
Why not choose a different card (more powerful) and choose one that has the ratings available - there's no point in taking a chance =]

Well I'm not going to do new games. I want to play CoD2 on medium settings with medium rates, so I think the 8400GS might do it. What do you think?
