Geforce 8600

That seems to be able from what I have heard. There is only one way to find out, do you monitor your voltage? If you do give me the stats on that, I like that PS. Thanks
 
the volatages are in the spec and shouldnt waver too much off those

we just have to wait and see when they actually come out, no way to tell now.

i think i heard around like 170$-180$ so like a 7900. cant wait to see the performance on all these new cards coming out!
 
8600 ultra: $180

8600 gt: $150

From what i hear on the specs an ultra would probably command around half the power of a 8800 gtx/gts.
 
You can't really tell till they come out and someone benches them. But it appears it will match or surpass a 7900gt, Also to put two of those in sli you'd have to make sure you have enough amps on the 12v line. Somewhere around 24-25? possibly less.

specs on a gts:
96 shaders
core speed: 500
mem speed:1600
ram: 320, 640
320bit

ultra:
64 shaders
core:500mhz
mem: 1400mhz
ram: supposedly 512
256bit

64 shaders would only be 16 pixel pipelines, is that right?

it is going to be interesting to see the benchmarks.

what day do they come out?
 
dunno how may pipes.. 64 is counting everything.. rop's, blah, blah. There's supposed to be a new one called geometry shaders or sumthin like that.
