Hi all,
My computer has been running fine with 1440 * 900 resolution for a long time now, but I was messing around with the monitor menu and hit the reset button so the desktop display has now moved over to the right. There is a big black border on the left side, and even when I adjust both the monitor and nvidea properties all the way to the left, it remains about 2 inches across. I have the latest nvidea drivers and tried a rollback to see if it owrked but it didn't.
I wasn't here for the monitors installation so I don't know how it was set up before. I have downloaded the lastest nvidea drivers and it didn't change anything. The monitor is an LCD from Topcon, but their website says that the model is just a plug and play type.
I notice that in the display properties (for Windows XP), under the settings tab where it says 'Drag the monitor icons to match the physical arrangement of you monitors', there are two monitors in the grey area although there is only one that is actually being used. Is there a way to remove the other one? Is the computer spreading the desktop display across what it thinks is two monitors? In the nvidea control panel I set it to only one monitor and that seemed to help a little bit but not enough.
What do you think?
