General computer issues

Ok, this is a very vague question but I have this computer that I have had for several years. I believe there are numerous viruses on it as it seems to lag sometimes but after repeat virus scans with avg nothing but malware and adware seems to come up. I also think it is just a complete disorganized mess of files and I have no idea if I have messed up the registry using stupid registry cleaners in the past. Basically my question is what can I do to improve on these things? I am a definite noob here lol but I just dont know where to begin. I thought I remember seeing some way that I could get like a display of code that people can analyze or something to detect hidden viruses or something but I cant remember what it was. Anyway any help at all would be appreciated, Thanks:confused:
 
Ok, thank you for that advice. I did a malware scan and something like 30 infections came up. Here is the log I dont know if anybody wants to make some sense of it, I am still concerned because some trojans came up, it said it deleted them I just dont know if I should trust the software.

If it says its found the problems and deleted them it should all be good then?

If not try restarting your computer and doing a full scan, and not just a quick one. Sometimes during a scan one or two may get past.
