General Video Card Question

I know this question may seem silly to some but I have been wonder this for a little. When people post stats for their GPU there is usually three numbers, something like.. sometimes its two numbers, sometimes three.

690/1175/2000

In accordance to 8800s, I am assuming the 700ish number is the core clock, and the 2000ish number is the memory clock for the GPU. I don't really know what the middle number would be in this example, but it is usually around 1100-1200. Any help with the correct answers is appreciated. Thanks.

It's probably the Shader clock. It's generally not considered as important as the core clock, as the core handles a multitude of things while pixel and vertex shaders handle, but are not limited to, post-processing effects. It will be more important going into the future, with the advent of improved shader levels, and without DX9 overhead.

Yeah I was looking at people's overclocking screenshots and i think i could read Shader or something like that. Thanks for the help.

Was i correct in my other assumtions? Thanks

Yeah. The mem clock can have two different values, say 1040mhz and 2080mhz. GPU memory is based on DDR tech, and either reference or effective clocks can be listed
