I was moving my computer back a few inches, just as I did it I got this error:
then when I tried to boot up it said disk boot failure, please insert system disk. when its hooked up no hard drives show up in the BIOS at all. It boots into windows when I un hook the backup hard drive (the one with 250GB of stuff I really dont want to loose!) how can that one drive be messing up the other when its hooked up?.. I am using SATAII so there not tied together at all.. the main drive works on the other sata cable and power cable so thats not the problem.
Is there anything I can try to get this drive working again, its only like 4 months old. I got it from tiger with limited warenty but I will call and see if its under warenty anyway.. but first I would like to try to get it to work myself, if not somehow get the data onto a diffrent harddrive some how..
Thanks
update: I figures since it was sata I could try hooking it up once the computer is on, but it done nothing when I do that. nothing shows up (even in partition magic 8)
