German CD Rom drive on US PC??

Is it possible to use a German CD Rom drive in a american PC? I mean powerwise, will it be able to run with the PSU set to american power? Does the PSU actually send out different power to the components or does it just transfer the power coming from outside into a neutral power rate for the components inside?

The voltages inside the computer have standard values, so that CD-rom will work perfectly.
