Get back recently deleted folder...

So my brother just accidentally deleted all of the music off of his computer...

He remembers it told him it was to big for recycle bin and would be permanently deleted, is he screwed or would a system restore bring back these files??

System restore doesn't backup personal files.

Even when "permanently deleting" a file, Windows doesn't actually overright or remove the data, it just instantly deletes the descriptor and address marking the file. Try using a file recovery software, Recuva, Eraser, Pc inspector, there are tons.

The ones I saw you had to pay for, are there any freeware options?

Recuva is a freeware program from the lot who made CCleaner, it should work fine too.
