If you want all out performance and budget isnt an issue, get the GTX 275.
Or if you prefer Ati, the 4850X2

There isn't much point in getting a new card because you only have a 19 in monitor. Gaming in 1440 x 900 isn't going to require a 4850X2. An 8800 GT will suffice. However since graphics cards are like guns with people, the bigger the better. (penis compensation) If you want to get something you don't need. Go ahead and get a GTX 275 out of those.

Is a jump from a 19" widescreen to a 22" widescreen that big of a difference? I mean I'm not doubting you I just don't understand you see. :D

It's a jump in resolution. The higher the resolution the more the video card has to stretch its legs, basically. An 8800 GT can play just about any game on full on a 19" monitor with good frame-rates. (except Crysis) Since an 8800 GT can already do that on your 19" then what's the point in a video card more than twice as powerful? See my point? Money wasting isn't a good thing.

Alright, I think I get what you're saying now. Thanks for putting it in newb terms heh.

So, I'm looking to get an overall upgrade for that setup for $300-$400, what would you suggest? Otherwise I'll go for the GTX275 and a 22"-23" monitor.
