Getting parts for a new project!

For Christmas, I'm asking for parts for a computer so I can build from there. I'm getting a Shuttle PC (that supports 400FSB) and a Athlon XP 3200+ 400FSB, and I'm going to use my old ATI Radeon 9600 PRO. All I need now, after the money I get from all my family for X-Mas, is.. HD, ram, CD Rom Drive, correct? Suggestions please.. Here's what I'm thinking.

Western Digital 80GB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Corsair 512MB PC3200
Sony CD Rom Drive

PS: What OS would you reccomend?
 
What else other than XP Pro. Unless you're going to use it as some sort of server, or for not gaming. In that case I'd suggest Linux, 2000AS or just plain 2000 Pro.

What are you using the shuttle for? If media stuff, 80GB wont be enough :)

When you say 'media stuff'.....what do you mean? Just lots of music and vidoes?

1. Well media and videos do take up space ... 80GB is gonna dissapear real fast :)
2. Running Premier Pro on most shuttles is a bad idea
3. Trying to run a 1280x1024 session of say, UT2K4 and fraps is a bad idea... even more son shuttles..
