Ok, i kinda put of my computer for a little while so i get it when my laptop just starts running out of gaming juice (that would be best imo)
so i am getting a psp for the games!
Socom, wipeout, gta, burnout, ect ect ect.

personally, i dont like PSP's, i think there a waste of money, $250 so you can play games on some 3" LCD screen with really bad graphics. and games cost like $40.

Thats a great idea. A portable gaming system with a 19" screen. BTW, the PSP has a 4.3" screen, and the graphics are really good compared to any other PORTABLE(that means you can stick it in your pockets, guys) game system.

Ya I'll give you that, but I still think its a waste of money.

does anyone one know if battlefield 2 is going to be coming out for the psp and do you think that would be a good game for the psp

I'll cry if it does... that will be a sad day. I always like it when we have a PC only game, but then it goes to a console.... sigh, what happened Doom 3???

i agree, who would pay $40-$50 for BF2 on psp?? its graphics are like the same as a PS1, im not a fan of portable gaming systems, just get a pocket pc :P

Nintendo DS has PS1 quality graphics. The PSP has close to PS2 graphics. Pocket PC's have PS1 graphics (at very best). To me, pocket pc's are a waste of money. I have one, and it just collects dust. I can do everything I want in a PDA better on the PSP. That includes games, photos, music, videos, and wireless internet. I have no use of Office type programs while on the road.

I dunno, I've never liked the DS. Games and touch screen control have never really gone well. sure you can get creative with it, but so far only the first party games are getting that treatment. plus it's awkward to carry while doing touch screen. Plus for the games that are released on the DS and PSP, the PSP ones always blow away the DS ones. Ex: Ridge Racer, NFSU2, and Burnout Legends to name a few. PSP also gets GTA :D

yea right.. the psp is as powerfull as the ps1. only a smaller screen. and a really crappy resolution (i played on one,. and im shure i wont do that again, because it was a waste of my time. (about 20sec :P) )
anyway, i prefer my pc over a psp anytime. and for $250 i rather buy myself another 6800GT. instead of buying heavilly oversized portable.

These PSP debates are hilarious. Of course we preffer our PCs over PSP's... After all they are totaly diff. things. I dunno why people keep comparing PSPs to PCs. And if somone had a PSP and the screen cracked in the first day then I'd have to say that person was careless and dropped it most likely as i'm sure the screen did not just spontaniously crack. When we compare PSPs we should do so against other "Portable" game consoles. Not Pocket PCs, Not laptops or desktops nor PDA's etc.

Also I dont own one nor do I want too, I'd also rather use the money to upgrade my PC but that is my prefference.

psp is amazingly good its like a mp4 player providing you have a big enough memory stick ive got like 6 full length movies good quality on mine with loads of saves and pics and it look so good dam good oooooo i love it

Ya, my ppc i have a 1gb sd card, and i like it.....it just doesn't do much else for me......and the psp has between the ps1-2 graphics.......also yes bf2 is coming for it, and its got a wireless browser built in

I guess you guys haven't seen GTA LBS yet. Looks just as good(or pretty damn close) as the PS2 version GTA's.
