I really want to get an Oculus Rift, but just ran their software and it says I need a new CPU. I have:
Windows 7
8 GB DD3 1333 Ram
evga geforce gtx-970 overclocked
Alienware 046MHW motherboard (no idea how good or bad this is, very hard to find specs/stats on it from google)
and the CPU is a i7-2600k overclocked (I think to 4.1 or 4.2 lol)
I always felt my ram was my bottleneck but have been able to play every game at near max settings with my set up. Is the Oculus wrong and my i7 can run it? If I upgrade to a saaay i7-6700k would my MB be able to handle it?
Should I just wait it out or is it feasible to get into the VR games with my rig?
