Okay guys another few questions before I actually start building this computer, I know that the mobo has either a 24 pin or 20 + 4 pin power plug from the psu is there another plug that goes into the mobo also like an 8 pin or something on some sites I have seen when building a pc there are two plugs for power to the mobo its called a 12 v or something? also my case has 3 lcd temp readings and for each one of these there is a little wire that comes out of the front of the case where do i put them do i just stick them close to the cpu etc and if so what do i use to stick them there? lastly and this i am pretty sure i already know but when installing ram i have 2 1 gb sticks do you just put them in the first two slots? my mobo has 4 slots or is there any order specifically that they need to be placed in? the mobo i am using is this one in case anyone wants to look at it thank you.

ok, well theres two things u plug into the mobo from the power supply, the 20 +4 pin connector thingy and on theres a "4pin Cpu Power Connector" (it shows that in one of the pics of ur mobo) About the Lcd lights u plug them into ur mobo of course, but you just have to read ur Mother board user manual to figure out where they go, because all motherboards are different,.... and about the Ram, im pretty sure they both go in the same color ones,.... like both in the yellow slots,.... etc... but im not exactly for sure.

but what about the temperature guagues from the front of my case? there are three wires coming out which have an orange flat looking end on it. there is no plug for it its just there and it says its to measure different temperatures in the case? as for the 20 + 4 connector my mobo says it has a 24 pin plug does that mean i just take both the 20 and 4 pin plug from the psu and plug them in. my power supply has a 20 + 4 pin plug then a flat 4 pin plug also?

umm Hmm,.. not sure i cant really help u out with the led temp stuff and where u plug those in :-/... But yea if ur mobo has a 24pin plugin and ur Power supply has a 20 +4 pin plug just plug in the 20pin and the 4pin right next to it

If your motherboard requires a 24 pin conenctor, join the 20 + 4 pin together. Your CPU also requires extra power. There is a black and yellow 4 pin 12V connector.

The flat 4 pin is most likely just a molex.

okay i opened the case up today here is yet another question how come the case fans have two power connectors coming off of them they are the molex 4 pin but there are two one is female and one is male?

I PUT IT TOGETHER! I did it this evening it took me about 1 1/2 hours to plug it all in etc very happy with the results there are wires everywhere but i will have to do some clean up later on. i also need to put the OS on but that will have to wait its late here. i am glad this was my first build it powered on lights all came on :).

Congratulations. I did my first build (in the sig) a couple weeks ago and it's a very satisfying feeling. I didn't clean up the wires until this past saturday but its nice now. Too bad my desk keeps me from seeing it.

i will take some pictures after this weekend i am going to be putting in a cold cathode tube and cleaning up the wires then i will take some pictures. thanks for all the help.

okay here are the pictures i put the cold cathodes in today but they don't look red they look pink/peach :(. oh well here are the pictures i did the best i could with the wires its my first time but i think i did pretty well. okay so it won't let me put more than one picture on here b/c my pictures are too big but hope you enjoy. thanks for the help.

Just type

anyways... the wiring job looks a little jumble but as you said it's your first build. I would recommend buying a few twist ties and getting those wires good.

i think i am going to pull the two cold cathode lights out of the bottom they are not really red and they are washing out my led fans especially the side case one, instead i am going to go get two led fans one on the top one on the bottom i think i will get blue ones so the red and blue should look alright what do you think? i would like to keep the cold cathodes but they are not red at all almost pink/peach.

Alright you guys I spent a good 2 hours rewiring this thing, I also took the 12 inch red cathodes since they looked pink/peach and bought two 4 inch tubes that are more red also got a blue fan for the top tell me what you think.
