getting the most out of ram

hey, i like to play games on my pc, i currnetly have 512mb ram but apparantly windows xp uses about half of that and i was wondering how i could get the most out of the ram i have. i also have a radeon x800 (or something) 128 mb graphics card, i was also wondering how i could get most the power out of that without affecting the gameplay.

To get the most out of your RAM you could always defrag the memory. Look for memory defragmentators on www.dirfile.com or www.handyarchive.net or just google it.
You could purchase System Mechanic from www.iolo.com got loads of toosl to help optimize your system, but you have to keep doing them.

you could also use msconfig to stop programs loading that you dont need. Also use the administrative tools to stop services you dont need loading...for example why have smart card functions loading when you dont have a smart card reader.
