I'm getting 45 degrees C while idle and 55-60 under full load and at about 55-60 I've been getting some weird ish pixels. That was only when I slightly overclocked though, I'm not getting it with the stock settings.

So how can I lower the temp? I just have the basic fan.

55-60 is very good for a graphics cards, generaly you can let them go up to 80 under load before you should start getting worried. I suspect it's your OC that's causing the artifacting, not the heat.

EDIT: What card is it?

Palit 9600 GT http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814261013

1 gb memory (**** yeah)

700 mhz core clock (**** yeah)

2000 mhz memory clock (woo)

1750 mhz shader clock

stock settings

then how do i OC it without artifacts?

ps i was getting the artifacts when running 3dmark03, 4th test

The highest temp I've gotten was 61~ ish.

I was getting artifacts at 53'C (750mhz/1050/1875/ and not at 59'C (720/1020/1800 tho weird shit

well unless your using something like 1080p to play games that 1gb of memory isnt actually helping you much at all... (hope you didnt shell out too much for it.)

try lowering your overclock a bit and see if that helps. also if your fan on your graphics card is loud at the moment you could turn it down a bit, 60C is nearly what i idle at lmao

1080 p? what

Stock speed works fine, if i increase the speed by like 20mhz it's OK, and anymore than that is artifacts. Altough temp doesnt get higher than 60'C

Also my fan is pretty quiet, I keep it on dynamic fan.

Idle at around 43-45'C
