Does anyone know what does GHZ called? Is it a hard drive or other types of ammong names? I have 1.9 GHZ and would like to upgrade it to 2.1 or something. Does anyone know where I can get it cheap? Thanks.

Ghz and Mhz refer to speed, as in Memory speed or CPU Speed. GB or MB Refer to memory or hard drive size.

And the number of Ghz doesnt make a cpu good or not good. What kind of CPU did you want to upgrade to?

I don't know if you are joking or not. TO answer your questions:

GHZ = gigahertz , a measure of the speed of the processor

Don't expect to go to a shop and ask for more Ghz for cheap... :P

To have a faster processor you have two options available:

1. Buy a faster CPU (Processor)
2. Overclock your current CPU

GHz refers to the CPU. A CPU (or processor) is considered the "brain" of the computer, or the "power house" of the computer. It plugs into the motherboard. To get more speed/power from your CPU (or "get more GHz") you have to get a new CPU that is faster, or overclock your existing CPU.

This isn't a cheap upgrade most of the time, and for computer newbies who just "want more GHz" is often an unnecessary upgrade. What do you do on the computer that requires a faster processor? You could simply need more RAM, or a bigger HDD, or possibly just a complete overhaul of the system.
