hi...

I'm buying a laptop, but i have i problem with the amount of GHz to use... I'm between 1,66 and 2 GHz and i would just like to know if you can feel any significant different, or not? (:

well, that really depends on what you are goign to be doing... be a bit more specific and it might help...

oh, and we are talking Dual-Core here?

and it doesnt just depend on the proccessor GHz to how your laptop will run.

Guessing he is talking about the 1.66 core 2 Duo (Centrino Duo) and the 2.0 core 2 Duo (Centrino Duo). Common laptop processors.

Well yea you will notice a difference but that all depends on what you will be doing. Gaming, Graphic rendering, programming, YES, Word processing, web display, presentations Not quite.

Well, I was going to ask this same question, so I'll post MY specifics...

Yes to intel duo centrino - 1.66 or 2.0
3 gb ram
used for business only - extensive large excel files and autocad drawings.

also, for internet use as well
no gaming....come on who's got time for that....LOL

the upcharge is 100 bucks.
but how about the 2.4 gig upgrade too - its a $175 upcharge over the 1.66

OS will be XP of course.

Right now I have a Intel 1.5 gig and 512 ram - its 4 years old. running a little slow.
