giga-byte GA-7ZXE upgrading RAM?

i have bought this mother board for a while the question have is can i add another 512mb or ram? I when to the website (link above) and its said 1.5gb of Dram whats that, is that the same as SDRAM? also with 1024mb of ram i should run faster right like open files and other things? thanks for the help

DRAM is, for all intents and purposes, the same as SDRAM

Compared to 256MB yes. Compared to 512MB yes but not as noticeable.
