Gigabit routers: is more expensive better for home application?

I have a relatively fast internet connection (150Mbps). The problem is my router which is 10/100. Looking at wired gigabit routers, they are much more expensive than I thought. One of the cheapest I could find on Newegg is $150, which I suppose is fine if that's the only option. However, I was surprised to see gigabit wireless routers are a lot less expensive, the cheapest one on Newegg is $30.

So here is my question: forget about the wireless capability; the wireless router gives me 1 x 10/100/1000M WAN; 4 x 10/100/1000M LAN which is the same as the wired router. So, for a home application is there a particularly good reason to buy the more expensive router? (I don't use VPN which the more expensive router provides)

PS. I can provide links to the models I'm talking about, but I'm not sure if it is good form to post links to sales sites.

Which ones are you considering?

Some super budget ones don't have enough resources to route a high amount of traffic between WAN (Internet) and LAN.

Edit: That being said, wireless router combo units are so stinking popular you'll usually find the best value in that segment. Specific wired only routers are typically marketed with extra enterprise level uses such as dynamic routing protocols, VPN and various other features.

I finally got around to installing the router that my sis gave me. Since I needed more than 4 ports, I cascaded it with a 5 port switch, which I bought for $15. Now I'm getting full bandwidth on all 7 ports. As an added bonus, I'm getting over 50 Mbps on the wifi connections.

Thanks again for the recommendation. :)
