gigabyte 939 ultra mb

I bought usb card reader for this board a few months back and I am trying to use it, but I am getting an error. Its saying something about a high speed usb device being connected. These mb's do support usb2.0 right? I am not real spiffy on this stuff, so any help would be great.

are you trying to plug it in the front panel usb? i think alot of the time those are only usb 1.1...try using the slots on the back of your machine and see if that works..thats the only thing i can think of

The connector is for an internal connector. Are the connectors on the back normally usb 2.0? if so I can do some modding.
 
now im confused, just what sort of connector is on the end of this card reader? isnt it just supposed to plug into a USB slot?

I would certainly check whether you have USB2 drivers installed. Your device may not be fully backward compatible with the 1.1 standard. These, as far as I know come with Windows XP SP2.
